"As an Integrative Therapist, I understand the importance of adapting my therapeutic style to meet you where you are. You won't need to conform to a one-size-fits-all approach, I believe in utilising several different approaches to therapy. Together, we will collaboratively identify the best planned approach that aligns with your goals.
I take pride in providing a calming, safe, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore any challenges or worries at your own pace. Whether you prefer a more directive or non-directive approach, I am here to guide you through your therapeutic journey based on your needs and preferences.
With extensive experience in working with adults, I have supported clients dealing with a wide range of issues. From processing and healing from historic abuse and trauma, navigating divorce and separation, and coping with grief and loss, to addressing unhealthy behaviours and exploring familial relationships, I am here to provide a supportive space for your personal growth. I have also worked extensively with individuals experiencing imposter syndrome, anxiety disorders, depression, low self-worth, and self-esteem challenges. Furthermore, I have provided talking therapy to many educational specialists, medical practitioners and emergency services personnel, understanding the unique pressures they face.
In addition, I have a wealth of experience working with young people. I have provided counselling to those dealing with issues including self-harm, low mood, anxiety disorders, body image concerns, changes in home life, and academic-related issues. I have a decade of experience within the education sector, having previously served as the lead Therapist in a Lincoln secondary school. This firsthand experience allows me to approach therapy with insight and empathy.
Having had negative experiences with counselling as a teenager, where I felt unheard and unable to be my authentic self, I am committed to ensuring that in my practice, the therapeutic journey is a collaboration that centres around you. Your preferences and needs will be consistently prioritised.
As the owner of Ivy Light and a qualified Integrative Counsellor & Therapist, I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling. I have completed extensive training in areas relating to Counselling and Psychotherapy, and continually engage in professional development to stay updated with the most relevant theories and practices in counselling and psychotherapy. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, adhering to a strict ethical framework."

"As an emotionally intelligent Integrative Counsellor, I am dedicated to providing inclusive and judgement free mental health and wellbeing support which places clients at the centre of the process.
My naturally kind, sensitive and calming demeanour are all integral aspects to my ability to form meaningful and trusting relationships with clients to enable them to feel comfortable sharing their experiences with me. "I'm a Level 7 qualified therapist working with adults and young people. I offer a warm and accepting space where you can come exactly as you are, whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, caught in unhelpful patterns, uncertain, or wanting to understand yourself and experiences better.
My approach is integrative and highly individualised. I place importance on understanding you as a whole person- your experiences, strengths, challenges and the meaning you make of them, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model of therapy.
I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches where this feels helpful and appropriate for you. This is always done collaboratively, with your consent and involvement, and with an emphasis on your autonomy and voice within the therapeutic process. I actively encourage you to share what feels supportive, what doesn’t and what you may need from our work together.
I recognise that each client’s needs are different and may change over time. Some people benefit from a slower, reflective pace, while others prefer a more structured or exploratory approach. Ultimately, I aim to work at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you, prioritising collaboration, trust and emotional safety throughout our work together."

"I am a pluralistic therapist. I am calm, patient, and I have kindness and compassion for all people. In therapy, I am able to slow your thoughts, feelings and sensations, enabling you to become more aware of what you are experiencing. Through my gentle and warm nature, I can help you understand what you are going through, and more importantly, understand who you are.
Slowing down, becoming aware of your experiencing self, and discussing what you think and feel, without judgement, allows you to move from where you are, towards enhanced self-awareness, self-acceptance, improved emotional regulation, stronger resilience and developing communication skills.
Through my pluralistic approach, I create a safe environment for us to develop a therapeutic relationship, a relationship that will help you bring into awareness all of what you are experiencing. Patiently, through a collaboration between the both of us, we will be able to explore what you are going through and develop a authentic sense of self.
Strengthening self-esteem leads to greater resilience, confidence and overall wellbeing. Our experiences are real, however, they do not need to define who we are. By understanding ourselves at a deeper level, we can learn to observe our mental dysfunction, change our view of ourselves, and learn to enjoy life.
Life is challenging, with many layers, composed of your emotional, physical, relational, working, psychological, life situations. Entwined, interlinked, all connected. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression or mental distress. You may be aiming to understand yourself better, trying to discover who you really are, for example; your values, self-esteem, or developing your self worth. You may be struggling with your life situation, such as your job, career, studies, relationships, partners, hobbies, grief, loss or trauma."

"I am very proud to be a Therapist for Ivy Light because it's been created to provide a modern and relatable service, which places its clients at the heart of the process.
I have extensive experience working with young people, counselling young people with issues ranging from low mood and anxiety, self-harm (including addiction to self-harm), to body image concerns, social media affects, friendship issues, attachment styles, changes in home life, and academic/school related issues.
I have experience working with adults and providing therapy on issues ranging from anxiety, low self-esteem, some trauma and relationship issues.
As a teenager, I never had access to a counsellor, nor did I have much of an understanding about the process of counselling. I felt like I had to deal with all my problems alone and not talk to anyone. This was unhelpful, and I wish I had the chance to talk to someone about how I was feeling at the time, I felt unheard. Now, I believe it is important that no matter how you feel, you have the opportunity to talk to someone, because even the feeling of having someone listen to you can make all the difference.
I am committed to making sure the therapeutic journey is authentic and collaborative process for the individual, with your preferences at the centre of the journey."

"I am a warm, intuitive counsellor who believes that the therapeutic relationship is at the very heart of the counselling process. For me, it's not just about what is said in the room, but about the connection we build together, a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and accepted without judgement.
I know how daunting it can feel to be vulnerable. I aim to meet you with compassion and curiosity, creating a safe and grounded environment where you can explore whatever you’re holding. Whether you're feeling stuck, lost, or simply in need of space to reflect, I’ll be alongside you as we navigate it together.
My style is relational and integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit your unique needs. I believe that therapy is most powerful when it supports self-awareness, helping you to notice patterns, reconnect with your inner voice, and understand yourself more deeply. From this place of awareness, meaningful change becomes possible.
I have experience with depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-worth, identity, life transitions, and neurodiversity. I offer an inclusive, affirming space for all, with particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and an understanding of how identity and neurodivergence can shape our emotional world and relationships.
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I won’t give you advice or quick fixes, but I will walk alongside you with empathy, curiosity, and respect. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of space to reflect, therapy can offer a powerful opportunity to reconnect with yourself and your values, what really matters to you."

"Everyone reaches points where challenges feel overwhelming. Whether you're experiencing persistent anxiety, relationship patterns that leave you feeling stuck, work that feels unrewarding and taking you nowhere, unprocessed grief or simply feeling something isn't right, these signals deserve attention.
Many hesitate to seek therapy, wondering if their struggles are serious enough or if they’re the kind of person who has therapy. Therapy provides a space where your experiences are heard without judgement. It's not about having something wrong with you, it's recognising that sometimes we all need support to find a path forward.
My name is Ian Catterall and I provide person-centred therapy enriched by mindfulness techniques that create real results. I work with clients worldwide through online video sessions."

"Do you need someone to talk to, but you don't like the idea of being in an enclosed space for your therapy sessions? Maybe you want to connect, perhaps more deeply, with nature, the environment, or the wisdom of the seasons during your therapy sessions. Perhaps you feel more comfortable being side-by-side with your therapist rather than sitting face to face in a room, which doesn't suit everyone.
I discovered Walk and Talk Therapy when I was initially training as a Counsellor, and I later undertook further training in Walk and Talk Therapy and Ecotherapy. I have worked as a Counsellor for over seven years and I am passionate about outdoor therapy and the benefits it can provide, especially for those who have experienced trauma. Research also shows that being in nature can reduce stress, depression and anxiety and it can help us access our inner world more deeply.
In my work as an Integrative Therapist, I draw on person centred, humanistic, Gestalt, Psychosynthesis and Transpersonal counselling techniques. I work one to one with adults and I can help with issues including: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, loss, grief, stress, relationship breakdowns, separation, divorce, infidelity, recovery from narcissistic abuse, childhood trauma that's effecting your life now, as well life's challenges and changes. I also work with people who have had or been touched by near-death experiences (NDEs), particularly those caused by cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes, illness, health emergencies and medical interventions.
Whatever has brought you to me, I aim to provide a welcoming, caring, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can freely and openly express and explore your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences with someone who is on your side.
In addition to Walk and Talk Therapy, I am able to offer online therapy and supervision for Trainee Counsellors, Qualified Counsellors and other professionals, including mental health first aiders which can take place in your workplace."
