Who this support may help

Support for adults and young people who are autistic, have ADHD, identify as neurodivergent, or are beginning to understand their own experience of neurodiversity.

You may feel overwhelmed, mentally drained, or find social situations difficult to manage. You might notice how much effort it takes to keep up, stay focused, or hold things together day to day.

For some, this shows up as anxiety or low mood. For others, it is a quieter sense of feeling different, misunderstood, or out of step with those around them. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access support.

Common reasons people seek therapy

Many people reach out when things begin to feel more difficult than they should.

This might show up as ongoing overwhelm, burnout, or struggling to switch off. For some, anxiety is linked to sensory or social demands. For others, it builds over time from constantly adapting, filtering, or trying to keep up with expectations.

There may also be challenges with relationships, communication, or confidence. Sometimes there is no single issue, just a sense that something is not working as well as it could.

A calm, supportive therapy approach that works with you, not against you

How therapy is adapted

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about creating an approach that works with you.

Approach

Support shaped around you

Sessions are flexible and guided by what helps you feel comfortable and able to take part. There is no expectation to communicate in a certain way or at a fixed pace.

You can pause, take your time, or approach things in a way that feels natural. The aim is to make therapy feel accessible and supportive, not pressured or overwhelming.

What this may include

Practical adaptations

  • Clear, direct communication
  • No expectation of eye contact
  • A calm, low-pressure environment
  • Awareness of sensory needs
  • The option to work online if that feels more comfortable

ADHD and autism

Making day-to-day life feel more manageable

Therapy can help you understand how ADHD or autism affects your day-to-day life, and how you think, respond and experience situations.

This might involve working through overwhelm, recognising patterns, or finding ways to handle emotions that feel intense or difficult to manage.

A calmer environment

Somewhere you do not need to mask

Many people have spent years trying to fit into environments that do not quite suit them. Therapy offers something different.

A place where you do not need to perform, explain everything perfectly, or keep things hidden. Just somewhere to think more clearly, talk openly, and feel understood.

Support that meets you where you are

For some, therapy is about adjusting to a new or late diagnosis. For others, it is about finding better ways to manage everyday life, relationships, or expectations.

The focus is not on fixing you, but on helping things feel more steady and manageable. Therapy can give you time to explore your experiences, understand patterns, and find ways forward that suit you.

Whether you have a diagnosis, are exploring one, or simply recognise these experiences in yourself, you are welcome here.
